Just as our mood changes with the weather, the colors of the artwork also change depending on the lighting conditions of the day.
Depending on the nature of the piece, there may be a lighting that is more suitable.
People today have become accustomed to bright light, so photographs must be taken in bright light, but I think it’s better to view them in slightly dimmer light. If the light is so low that it is difficult to see clearly, people may look at it intently….
The order in which the photographs are presented has been decided with these points in mind.
Some people say that it’s easier to see every detail in bright light, but that’s just fine information, and I think the unique qualities of a work are often best displayed in dim light. The chashitsu (tea room) is dimly lit, making it a space for focusing on a specific object.
