Chaire & Natsume

Namikawa Cloisonne Museum of Kyoto

It was very hot today too. The humidity was so high that it felt like being in a sauna.
So I didn’t really do any outdoor photoshoots this summer.

Today I went to the tea caddy exhibition at the Nomura Art Museum.
Not only Chaire but also many Natsume are on display. There are many wonderful pieces, so I highly recommend it.
I think it would be a good idea for young potters to get into the habit of going to Raku Museum and exhibitions like this one.

I have been to exhibitions held at various art museums, mainly in Kyoto and also in Osaka.
Among them, we would like to introduce some smaller and less well-known museums where you can quietly appreciate the artworks.
What these three museums have in common is that you can enjoy both the buildings and the gardens typical of Kyoto.

1,SUMIYA MOTENASHINO BUNKA BIJYUTSUKAN | SUMIYA, It is a valuable old building that served as a banquet venue during the Edo period.
2,KYOTO SEISHU NETSUKE ART MUSEUM | There are so many netsuke pieces on display.
3, Namikawa Cloisonne Museum of Kyoto

We will continue to introduce recommended places in the future.
(The first and second photos were taken at a temple. They have nothing to do with the museum.)
