Nuit Blanche KYOTO 2022
This event has been held on a large scale in the city of Kyoto,
and this is the 12th time it has been held.
Last night I attended a lecture held at the Institut Français.
The theme was “How can society preserve and support arts and crafts
from a French and Japanese perspective?”.
I was able to learn about France’s attitude toward arts and crafts as a national strategy.
We must thank the passion of foreigners for bringing our traditional craft culture into focus.
And we should be more aware of such facts.
I felt the same when I went to an exhibition of young Japanese printmakers at the American Embassy in Tokyo.
