Saishoku Bizen | Anjin ABE

I feel that each piece has its own characteristics. Some pieces show their beauty in natural light, others look best in illuminated lighting. I am always looking for such pieces. Our gallery features glass display cases. These works are on display there. I noticed that these pieces look different inside and outside the display case. To put it simply, it is not just a painting inside a tokkuri, but a painterly piece of work as a whole.
This is truly the world of “Abe Art.” Perhaps the display case acts as a frame, but I believe it expresses a world never seen before. Seeing is believing, so it’s hard to describe in words. I believe that these works will really shine in a more special setting. Mr. Abe is a special person who not only reproduces the texture of ancient works through firing, but also challenges himself to express himself in new fields. (I would like to post photos of the showcase, but unfortunately I cannot because I would be in the photo.)
If you search for “Saishoku” in this blog, you can see some of Abe Sensei’s past works.
It is changing from abstract to concrete, to something with more character.
