Cherry blossoms and tiled roofs

Kiyomizu dera

Although Gallery Aoyama is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, I went out because it coincided with the peak of the cherry blossom season. I like roof tiles(Kawara), so I unconsciously took pictures of them. I was glad to see a number of tiled roofs that I personally found satisfying this time around.
I set out on my bicycle, but it turned into a hike partway through, and I ended up walking a lot. I climbed a lot of stairs too.
I went home once, and then went out again in the evening with my partner.
The last photo shows the view from where Hideyoshi’s tomb is located, but there are 489 steps up the stairs. This was my second visit, and it was really tough. He was a famous medieval general, but he was also the person who introduced pottery to the world.

I went out to the art museum again the following day (Tuesday), but it was raining, so I decided not to take my camera with me.
However, it suddenly cleared up in the evening. It was a beautiful sight after the rain. I regret not checking the weather forecast properly. Another reason was that I had lost the camera lens cap when I went out the day before, so I was afraid of scratching the lens. However, I had absolutely no recollection of losing the lens cap, so I thought it was strange. When I got home, it had fallen to the floor. In any case, the cherry blossoms looked so beautiful after the rain, and it was a great pity that I couldn’t take a picture of them.
