Masterpieces from the Momoyama period (1573-1603)
“Koshigaraki” means old Shigaraki ware, and this piece was made over 400 years ago.
Unique and dynamic forms, the texture of Shigaraki clay, and the beautiful scenery of natural glazes unfolding amidst a withered landscape. The Momoyama period is considered the golden age of Japanese pottery.
We are delighted to have been able to acquire such a work.
