I saw the news that a truly shallow individual had cut down cherry trees in Washington that were over a hundred years old.
If that is true, I utterly despise him. Passing things on, preserving them, and nurturing them—this is vitally important for a wide range of things, not just nature but culture as well. He evidently fails to grasp this at all. What has he learned over his long life? He really is like a five-year-old…..
