Although we should not express it in terms of emotion, human facial expressions can change greatly depending on joy, anger, sadness, happiness, and the scene at hand. Ceramic works also change appearance dramatically depending on the light. Every expression is true and not false. Needless to say, since we sell our work as a product, we basically have to take photos that are bright and clear and show the expressions of the subjects. However, tea bowls are sometimes used in dimly lit places such as tea rooms, so it is important to imagine that atmosphere when photographing them. There is a big gap between them. Sometimes, flashy, strong firings look just right in dim light.

Changing the subject, I feel that the current state of politics, economics (Extortion-like pressure and stock prices that are significantly out of step with the real economy, etc.), and humanitarian issues is truly terrible. Although each has a different style, those in power are doing whatever they want. I’ve been feeling very uncomfortable and stressed lately.
