Akaraku Chawan | Nindosai
赤樂茶碗 | 任土斎
Size(cm)W12.1 H8
Mid-Edo period
In a tea gathering that values an appreciation of nature, selecting a chawan that resembles a ripe persimmon would be a stylish touch by the host. This was the first Red Raku tea bowl I ever encountered, and it holds a special place in my memory. I hope its next owner will cherish it. I took some photos one last time before saying goodbye.
