Enjoying autumn

The skills of a Japanese confectionery artisan

This is a Japanese confection that looks just like a dried persimmon. It contained chestnuts, dried persimmons, and sweet bean paste.

Among the plants I like, I particularly enjoy the appearance of persimmon and cherry trees in the autumn. While Japanese maples are popular, I personally prefer the autumn foliage of persimmon and cherry trees. This is because the sight of a persimmon tree in a mountain village during late autumn is one of those Japanese scenes that remains deeply etched in my heart. I enjoyed this Japanese confection while picturing the scene of crows calling out as they returned to their nests.

In many municipalities across Japan, there is music that plays over the public broadcast system around 5:00 p.m.
Most Japanese people grow up listening to this music. When you visit Japan, you might be able to hear this music playing in the evening. Do you have such customs in your country as well?

It might come as a surprise, but this piece by Dvořák is also a very standard, well-known work.
Being able to end the day in a calm and peaceful manner is the most important thing.
